Lost all steering :shock:

Fortunately was only doing 5 mph in a field, unlike the day before when I was doing 70 mph on the M1 with two other people in the truck :shock:

Turned out the retaining bolt that holds the column to the box had come undone enough to allow the column to just spin and not turn the box. Tightened it up and centered the steering wheel and all is fine.

found a rust hole

Back light bulbs on my dash started to burn out, so I decided to replaced them with white LEDs. It turns out the final result is....blue... still looking nice.

Changed the rad on it for one that doesn't represent a clay paving slab and now it runs ever hotter :lolno:

offs! After a 20 miles run and a small top up, the passenger side of the rad is hot but the drivers side is stone cold. I give up

Fitted new handbrake cables, sorted all the brake calipers out now. Sprayed the new bumper and mounts. Fitted the decals. Repositioned the tow electrics. Just need to get my roof rack then I'll be sorted for Wales

Ian don't forget the Passanger side roof rail still needs two bolts

So today I bought a new truck!
Already installed some real seats and rear carpet, as it didn't have any.

Tomorrow replacing front carpet and adding a nudge bar and lights.

Recovered the headlining in black material and sprayed the A pillar cover + sunvisers with a plastic black paint. Looks much better then the off white

replaced a cv boot so as i can go play on sunday and mot due next week , should of looked at the hand brake whilst i was at it but that can be done tomorrow

Took my spare set of alloys to have them dipped, blasted and re-powdercoted. Picking up next Friday and having the tyres swapped over. Hopefully will give the frontera a appearance lift.
Now saving for springs and dampers for that all important lift

Swapped the seats from mine into Manny's and his into mine! I now have a nice set of Recaros and the back seat's match aswell.

tried tyo get my engine out but the bloody oil sump is catching on the front axle, grrr.

how do i get the bugger out and back in??? do i have to take the gearbox out as well??

New expansion tank ... hopefully that will stop the coolant loss.

New interior light .. now I can find things in the dark.

New door handle ... now I can unlock her without the risk of pushing the lock into the door and it falling out.

New front brake calipers and pads ... now I can stop .. oh no wait a minute. Effin thing won't bleed properly. Rock hard when engine off, soft as jelly when engine on. Might need a hand on this one and do it the 2 person method. :roll:

Mini Roundabout at the end of my road... Brake pedal hit floor (repeatably) :shock:

Sort of rolled to a stop in the middle, put in reverse and SLOWLY reversed back up the road and into the yard....

Replaced split front/rear brake pipe. Need to bleed in morning before leaving with van for the Annual. Thank fe*k the caravan wasnt following me, it would have been 'interesting' ...

Could have been worse. Could have been in the parking lot by Pets at Home. :wave:
