In fairness that is unlikely though, after all the Sun made an appearance, albiet brief, and any inappropriately dressed gingerness will go from blue complexion to white in a nano second when exposed to sunlight, and then will go bright red and burn within a further 50 nanoseconds...

Unless of course that said gingerness had applied a suitable sunblock prior to the exposure...

Drove it for the first time in six months as he has been laid up with a blown turbo. Its good to be back in a fronty.

Well done mate, good to see it back on the road.

Finally got Truck back on the road following the recent sad passing of the DMF Flywheel.

Truck is now sporting a Trooper Flywheel, clutch and LSD Rear Axle. Oh and I swapped the gearbox as well while it was in bits.

I've just come back from the standard 'round the block & through Shilton Dip' test run (it has straight roads, bendy roads, bit of track, water and the steepest hill in the area on it) and theres no reportable squeaks or rattles which for a high mileage 2.8 aint bad

Next job is the winch and a 2" lift.

Finally replaced all of the vac pipes:

But still getting check engine light and safe mode when driving above 120kmh.
Diagnose returns failure with EGR.. I will need to hunt that problem down. :axe:

Took Truck out today, all works well apart from an annoying rattle sort of noise when stationary, out of gear and the engine running. It goes when the clutch pedal is pressed.

Just had a quick look to find that the clutch release arm is not level, it seems that it has come adrift from the release bearing on one side as I can see one spring but not the other and the arm is definitely not straight.

I'm hoping that I can get it lined up without removing the gearbox again. I aint holding my breath though :roll:

Fitted my repaired Speedo cable. Snapped over Christmas, only just round to sending it off for repair. Sent Tuesday got it back yesterday. Works a treat. No more using my phone app as a Speedo. I can just get in and drive.

Collected my 3 muds off bobbinsjob this morning. Cheers for getting and storing them for me mate! They look skinnier than I expected considering they are 265's but that maybe because they aren't on the wagon. I'll have to line them up with my other bfg muds that are the same size

Today i have cleaned the caravan inside and out ready for the Annual Meet.

Oh and had 2 new tyres on it as the others were realy bad and ready to blow. Turn's out that the ones on it were ordinary car tyres and would only inflate to 36psi the new ones can go to 63psi. There comecial van tyres. :mrgreen:
