Bout inch of snow in Chessington/Epsom area and its still coming down and settling

should be fun trip home tonight

we've got snow

We got frozen dust and lots of cold :roll:

has not stopped here all day i had foot of snow on the roof after i had ceared it last night

this morning i had about 3" of snow on the fronty. cleared that all of and then a nice slow drive to work
was fun in a few places, and god 4wd is soo much better

The great Met Office has been promising us snow 'tomorrow' for about a week now. It's falling to the north, and the south, but we're missing it all.

Just checked the weather again, and yet again, snow 'tomorrow'. As the old saying goes, tomorrow never comes!

went out today to "play"in the snow and found a back road that was about 18" deep in snow

We've had a couple of days continuos snow (Walsall, M6 J9) - it's gotten so bad that the management closed the office/factory at 4:30pm and sent us all home (I think the bosses had tickets for the local football derby - Villa V Birmingham).

Roads were clear with no more than 1" of lying snow on the pavements.

Had about 4 inches of snow last night and now 12.30 pm it is really cold with a clear starry sky so it is going to be really cold by morning -15c at least.
Had to block all the windows in the big Barn with straw as we are in the middle of lambing.
Lambs either go "F**k that's cold I need a teat full of milk" or lie down and go "F**k that I'll just forget this life and try another one later."
The latter group are peeing etc. all over the kitchen and the hall way.
Only 7 of them so far but once up and running they go back out to their mum. If she'll take them.
Luckily Poll Dorsets are good that way it's the cross breed French ones that get shirty about their lambs not smelling right.
At least "Work" is only 50 metres from the front door so the Shepherdess walks over to the Barn while poor me has to go out in the Frontera and check the other half of the flock and take hay out in the tractor or bring wood in with the Quad and the trailer.
Though I do wonder how much of this is due to the Chemtrails.

Is it me or a many farms started lambing early these days, :shock:

We chose Poll Dorsets because they take the ram any time of year so we can split the flock in three and lamb 150 at a time so we have lambs to sell all year round.
We deliver to the abbatoir every week for our butcher in Limoges so we get a cheque every week rather than lambing 450 in one go and having to have a huge shed to do it in and then be dependent on the market price when they are ready.
Non Organic farmers do it " Out of Season" by sticking a sponge full of hormones up their fanny and giving them an injection of something, then have to pull the tampon out and give them another injection and let them loose with the rams who may or may not do the business.
How do you fancy that for a job? Bring them in, turn them up and stick a tampon in them and have to do the same in reverse exactly 3 days later. It's just daft.
If they are virgins they have to use their finger to "Open them up."
We just say "Come on lads the girls are ganting for it." and walk the Rams up to the flock and open the gate.
We get 85-90% of the ewes pregnant, the best "science" can do is 70-75% and those sponges, injections and all the man hours ain't cheap.

The Island is cut off from the mainland and yes you,ve guessed it, GREG is out "helping all the stuck people", translated:- " I was up and out by 7am playing in my 4x4". I stood at the door and waved him goodbye holding a nice cup of hot coffee and turning up the central heating.

I guess he will return at some point :lol:
