Getting frustrated at my 2.2DTI, went to do an oil change and my sump plug has decided to strip its threads halway out so wont come out or go back in, looking for a replacement sump now,

Leak off pipes done and a quick clean of the EGR valve while i was at it. Really do need to get that inlet manifold off and cleaned!

just changed the steering joint thingy that bolts to inside of chassis on passenger side steering seems much better ,the wheel dosent seem like its hanging off anymore, ,time for a brew

Macca, was it the steering idler? they can be a git to separate, done mine twice :lol:

Please keep the techy info in the relevant section...
....such as the "steering" section, or the "dwifty had to do it twice as he didnt do it properly the first time" section.

and today i bite the bullet and did the cam belt.... so much more fun with out a spring loaded tensioner

so today it has had a new cam belt, water pump and coolent....

it doesnt seam to have a leak... and i hope it dont..

Replaced the N/S front tyre, got a bollocking from the tyre bod at the same time, seems It's not the tracking, I just need to slow down on corners and those round-a-bout things... Im not in the MX5... :oops:

Took the truck for a wee tour of the country with Angie navigating, she slept most of it, so the sat nav came out... :shh:

we got half way to Alfies, then after a quick change of plan we diverted over to Bobbies. Tea & biccies to get the thinking cells working and between us we managed to fill it with tyres, wheels 'n' stuff while the girls were talking about girl things etc. Bobbie has a new toy btw, he found a set of nut splitters in the 'shed' dead shiny they were..... and got the spots off the roof rack a treat. He like's the 'bang' when the nut splits :oh yer:

so look out all when at Bobbies.....

Yes, you CAN get 6 fronty tyres AND rims And a home made shorty roof rack And her shopping into a Fronty all at the same time... so with all the important stuff inside and Angie lashed on the roof rack (teach her to snore on the m/way) we then wobbled down the road on the way home via Alfies ....

More tea (I like tea btw, coffee on the other hand... :sick:

) the Bull Bars went on, and came straight off (sorry Alfie mate, but I really didnt think they went with the truck. I will look out for a set of OEM ones ta). We then set off for home, finally getting there about 21:30 having scared the local wild life on the way... Why do folks try and cut up 4x4's ?

All in all, a good day was had, thanks. Angie was tired out when we got home (too much sleep lol) and I've now got to try and remember how it all went in so I can get it all out ready for work tommorrow!

You've got first call on the set I picked up earlier this year, Frank. Just as soon as I make the necessary mods to get the winchbumper on.

Changed the oil and filter on the 2.2 Tried my bullbars on franks 2.8 wich he didnt like so they are back up for sale .Wound the torsion bars up a couple of turns on the 2.2 to try and alter the ride abit. Will try it out on the drive to work tomorrow

dragged it home yesterday to begin its resurection

Today i finished fitting the rear axel with its lift, just need to get the rear prop shortened and extend the rear brake flexi. Fitted some nice 32" BFG's. Started winding the front up a couple of inches and bang goes the bolt head on the torsion bar bolt. Looking at it im surprised it aint gone before now. Will upload some pics when i get a moment

You heavy handed bugger, I thought it was only Gregster that could brake big bolts!!!!!!! :oh yer:

Your not the first one to do that. Out of all 3 frontera's I've listed on eBay for spares I've sold 5 of the torsion bar bolts

This is how it was looking with the rear lifted and my 32" bfg's on (the front is still standard height).

Then this happened.

Now its slammed looking like this.

today i checked the levels and it seams i have healed my oil leaks... and no longer am leaking..
