just towed my mates lad home he went in his classic rangerover v8 done his diff in and blow out on rear tyre so i lent him a rim and 33" tyre and towed him home in my fronty sport

Took Sophie in for her MOT today.... and got a nice failure sheet out of it.
Not that bad though, the O/S sill is in need of the welder's attention, but I knew about that. Oh, and I forgot to put a split pin in when I did the balljoint yesterday. D'oh!

Towed a broken down land rover across a field, with southwest landrovers owners watching in disgust

A bit of fettling with the other hub, this time the spring in the manual hub had disengaged as unnoticed by me the alan key bolts had slacked off again even with thread lock on (new locking washers to be fitted) so rebuilt the locking hub and did some small mods and took her for a drive for the first time in nearly three weeks and realised I have only put £30 worth of fuel in since the annual meet :shock:

Started to get that plastic stuff off the Bull-Bars prior to a good clean up of the rusty spots and then a couple of coats of Hammerite black. It should be easier to sort the tree rash and rust patches in the future.

Lifted the front end up on torsion bars - went for a drive

Fecking steering wobble still there - i figured it was the delaminated tyre

Somethings loose on the steering - between the tre and the wheel. The tre is solid but if you hold the track rod and turn the wheel you feel the clunk.

Top drive, pop the question up in the steering section and the guys will help out :thumbup:

Replaced the rear break shoes and gave it a good clean out..

Now I have more than 1 click on the handbrake between free wheeling and Locked UP :lol:

Loaded the 2.8 up with some scrap metal I'll be weighing it in tomorrow

Took the Bullbars off ready for shotblasting. It looks sort of nekid now... :shock:

I must remember not to go ramming stuff for the time being or I'll be replacing the head lights etc :lol:

I ordered 25ft of copper brake pipe and a cutting tool ready to replace all the brake pipes at the weekend

Fitted brand new NSR door handle £20 ish off eblag:) and I oiled the mechanism

just got to oil the rest now as it opens so nicely now .... :oops:

Popped a split pin in the ball joint that I forgot to do when I replaced it, then put her back in for retest now the sill is sorted. And she passed!!

Need to nip up the bearings when I fit tge Calmini kit but apart from that she's sound.

Spent the past three hours trying to figure out why my reverse lights don't work, still not working! On the plus side I found some rednecked bodies up wiring that I need to sort/replace, the jobs keep coming,

I didnt sell it ,i have used it to ove last of stuff to new house was going to get rid an buy something new instead im going to put it in a lock up as i have bought a calibra for a run around that way i can sort some issue for mot in november an have it ready for winter

Fitted the fuel tank back on the pickup and put £15 of petrol in. And put the battery on charge. So I can move it out of the way tomorrow.

Bought and fitted a new battery to the Volvo (which has been stood for 12+ months).

What's this got to do with Frontera's (I here you sigh) - Next step is and MOT & six months tax, then sell it to fund getting the Little Blue Bug back on the road.

today i collected my new rear axle
and then when i got home.. i cleaned down the calipers and when it is stop raining i will be working on cleaning the axle...

so come on... coiler axle on a leafer :mrgreen:
