Brought GodZilla to the garage today... Rear Diff is not leaking - it is pressing tears out everywhere at the cover by a sudden!!!

Gave 'Project March/April' a wash today. Put in a missing screw. Put the luggage and the camping stuff in. Can't wait till tomorrow :drink:

Tested my injectors, the opening bar pressure and spray pattern, with a tester that my boss gave me :thumbup:

gave it a wash and now making 1 winch out of 2 different broken ones....
and it is going well :dance:

Changed the clutch ater cylinder, rocker cover gasket and number1 injector, now its knockin like bugger when I give it some gas :thumbdown:

took the gearbox out of my lwb to find clutch knackered plus thrust bearing ,flywheel got a big grove in it from clutch rivets and sprigot bearing fell to pieces....

Got home from the annual, abandoned the van in the yard and broke out the tool box...

First job was to change the Clutch Master Cylinder on O-no, the new one arrived early Friday so has spent the weekend sat on the front seat waiting... Next job was to get the old rad off Truck before it really died and the rad from Jim fitted.

Looking at the old rad I'm pretty surprised it didnt boil over while dragging the van home, at least half of it was coated with mud but then it is a 2.8 and they do run pretty chilled.

Jobs to do... lots :lol:

Not strictly today, or entirely done by me but...

Changed oily stuffs and greased props on Sophie last week before going to Avalanche - as a just in case thing, not as I actually planned to take her out.
Sunday she had the +3 Calmini springs from the BBB fitted to the rear, courtsey of Tom (Springbok) who was kindof in the zone and did several spring swaps that afternoon.

Fixed my front passenger seat. It wouldn't slide at all. Took it out lubed up the necessary parts and found one of the release levers rusted solid. Liberal amounts of WD40 and now works a treat.

Had a closer look at the glow plugs. Took each one out and they worked fine and dandy connected straight to the battery. Looked pretty new as well. Tested the wiring and no breaks with full continuity. Checked the voltage on ignition on and naff all power getting to them. Must be that bodge of a Land Rover relay at fault. Now armed with a set of side cutters I am on the look out for a 2.3 to "borrow" the relay socket off another if left for more than 2 mins alone

Ok, so not really yesterday, but definiately over the bank holiday weekend,

Swapped wheels for A series + AT's.
Installed roof bars.
Burned interestingly decalled wheel cover (Well, took it off and hid it...)
Repaired split in nudge bar (God bless Epoxy and Duct tape)
Started to clean rusty spots on steps and fuel tank cover
Lost 10mm Socket down drain.

Swore profusely.
Realised that after did all that and went for a drive that the brake wear warning contact is screaming at me...
Realised the spare pads I have are for the front and the rears are the ones that need changing.
Resigned myself to screaming wheels for a couple of days.

Took my dead starter motor off again. I'm sure this car is allergic to them its even fitted the right way. been quoted £130 to recon mine :shock:

went to main vauxhall dealer for sprigot bearing only to be told discontinued cos of no call for them anymore he even tryed other main dealers but no joy so if u have one keep it cos u mite need one one day ....

Gave it a wash to get the ton of mud off. Then put the road wheels back on then started to deModify the car so I can sell it without them.

Removed the steering gear from Bag 'O' Sh*te No1 to find out why it was so bl@@dy tight :evil:

Result......frozen uj......an hour on the bench soon had it sorted, steering nice and smooth again :dance:

Had to remove the thermostat having an intermitting overheating issue tested it and it worked just left it off to see how it goes i just need the engine to hold on for another month

Yesterday - going back from work, tried a little track, back on the road headin' home... All by a sudden white smoke!

Thanks to our truck "Greenstripe" for waiting that long and taking a moment I was in no hurry!
@Greg & Neal: Seems to be the drop of water we spottet n o t coming from the waterpump's gasket...

Still got the tools in the car. With some water donated by a nice houswife heading home...

At the garage the black one waited for pickup with repaired rear diff:

The old one seems not so bad and goes into the drawer...
