Cleaned out all the gunk from the inlet manifold then put it back together and added a blanking plate to the egr

Finally got Gerty back on her feet. Iam now hoping that I have covered all bases and it can now see the man with the tapping stick. Still more to do but It will wait for warmer weather.

Fitted the new to me prop I got from rospicer. Its silky smooth again yay...now to brake it again :roll:

Cruise control stalks fitted and tested :thumbup:

All I have done is drive 151 miles back home with my new 2.0 shorty :dance:

i have same probblem with the birds nest

Today i drove the 2.5 to work, yesterday i got the 2.3 on the trolley jack to investigate the oil leak. Found that the sump had a bit of damage, so dropped it off and took it to work today, its now sat in thinners getting rid of the oil, ready to be introduced to the TIG set :thumbup:

Well I fitted a bleed off valve to the truck today to try and increase the amount of boost it makes. Seems to have worked...now to just fine tune it

just spent the last hour (or two) trying to chase up why my obd2/eobd code reader wouldnt read codes, got fed up so decided to fit the car seat covers i hadstill sat in the packaging, then thought id takle the front to rear brake lines as they were looking abit shabby, i now have two very shiny copper brake pipes all plumbed in just need to bleed the brakes through, but with a narked of misses indoors :shh:

, best be a job for tomoro.

Well for the past two days I'll been converting the shorty into a pick up

Got the shorty temporarily insured just so I could see what it's like to drive with all the weight taken off the back end. I must say its fun to drive now. I've got the biggest smile on my face not just because its fun to drive but because I'm back behind the wheel of a frontera :thumbup:

Replaced left front indicator light and repaired housing on the right side - those parts are quite expensive over here for the A Model...

Hammerited some harmed areas on the floor beyond the carpet.

Just an idea jeoh. Do you need any more car bits if so put a post up with a list of items then if you are coming over for the annual. you could pick all the bits up and save on postage

Long awaited oil and filter change

been putting it off, due to the horror stories of sheared bash plate bolts, but like the rest of the car, no rust, so no seized bolts!!!
The previous owner had also taken the opportunity of using copper ease on all the bolts, so it was a doddle!.

Didn't have a 36mm socket for the filter, but my ancient adjustable had the filter off first push. Filter replaced using new O rings
supplied.

Also, while the bash plates were off, I managed to change the vac tubes on the axle, and the one to the reservoir, just in case

Whilst we have been trying to sort out our internet,I have been working on my 2.2 DTI.

Ok guys & gals,here is my Frontera 2.2 DTI with new lights fitted and it is now sitting on its 20" rims.

20" rims fitted.

For those of you who know my Frontera,I am putting my mark on it. As I like it very much.

Serviced it last Sunday including clean and lub front caliper sliders, remove and check hub bearings. Today we went to get our annual once over with the tappy stick man..................................WE PASSED

Took mine ploughing at 5:30am this mornin on the way to work and came across a Delicia and a Discovery stuck in the drifts over Stannage, the Delicia driver was very thankful of the offer of a tow but the Disco driver said "no your alright, its a Discovery, its more than capable, i just need a run up", so i pulled the mitsy clear and we sat and watched the green oval on road tyres attempt a snow drift, oooo about 4-5ft deep, and promptly get STUCK! :rotfl:

Again the offer of help was turned down, but this time with the reply "I have made it this far without your help!", after this abrupt reply, all i could do was drop mine in low box and drive around him! :butt:

I left work at 12 and, yep, the Disco was still there, without its stuck up c*$k of a driver. :thumbup:

The snow hasnt stopped all day here and we ventured upto Fox House for lunch and watched the RAF helicopter lifting people off of MAM TOR :shock:
