After two weeks getting used to two wheels then a couple of days fighting my motorbike thanks to tesco 'fuel' last week, it was weird as hell getting back behind the steering wheel! I do miss the luxury of a cage but having ridden in rain, snow & gales I can always remind myself how awesome it is filling my tank on £10!

Oh, the reason for driving? MOT take #2! Let's see what the verdict today is!!

[EDIT] And there we go... they had to abandon the test due to coolant leak and it likely would've cost for them to look into it. Looks like I know what'll be happening with this fronty now :cry:

heard a lovely scraping sound this morn? at first thought id dun propshaft again but its coming fom clutch sounds like thrust bearing goin throu splines ,,so gearbox out again... or the engine if i get one cos heads cracked...iam gettin to old for this

Track down the coolant leak MrPete, sort that and put it back in...

I trust they sort of finished the test without actually handing out paperwork so you at least went away with a list of stuff needing fixing for a pass.

Nope, they called me to tell me the 'bad news' and abandoed the test. When I say it had a coolant leak, it pretty much had no coolant! Looks to be near the water pump so without stripping it (which could cause more problems) I'm tempted to just cut my losses on it and sell as is - I can't keep it at work forever!

i have had poor headlights since i got this fronty , god only knows how it got though its mot last november , however today i decided to do summit about it so i whipped the lights out and they had a bath with fairy liquid , dried with hairdrier and refitted with new bulbs as one of the old bulbs had a crome effect look to it . became dark a whey hey brilliant lightening i was amazed how well this makes a difference , i read this in one of the forums but thought must try it so there you guys , give it a go and hopefully you will be impressed as much as i was cheers dave

Had I little hole in the floor of the disco ( there a surprise lol ) so cut it back to a good bit of steel then trimmed a piece of steel from the old frontera roof then welded it in place.

patched and painted the tailgate in the dark (i had a torch) as it had rusted through (not quite through until i poked at it with a screwdriver on my lunch break), looking forward to seeing the mess i made of it tomorrow :oops:

Removed the foam A bar and front bumper and fitted the support brackets for the irmsher wrap around bull bar. Just need to fit it all back onto the car. (job for tomorrow).
