Cleaned out the MAP sensor
Having got 'Phyllis' running lovely following Vac and leak offs swap and inlet and EGR clean, I was content.
This weekend, my wife and I drove to Rennes, about a two hour round trip looking for a new kitchen. We were more than happy with the performance and economy that we were getting, but, I noticed a VERY slight misfire, now this was no more than a minor flutter, but it was there, and being a perfectionist, it would niggle me if left unattended.
Today, whilst reading my favourite forum, I happened upon a thread about the MAP sensor. How could I have overlooked this?, I mean, I even disconnected it whilst removing the inlet manifold to clean it!.
So today I removed the MAP sensor, cleaned it, and took 'Phyllis' for a spin.
My God, what a transformation

unbelievable!, no EML at 3500 rpm, clean and crisp throttle response throughout all gears, and a HUGE smile on my face.
Once again, this forum enhances my Fronty ownership.
