Fitted new starter and starting button .

Removed the head from the 2.2. Going to take it to work tomorrow to see how many valves are bent, so far 4 definatly and the pistons are ok.

No need to cut it Greg. The boot stretches enough to slide over the wide part of the stick.

Also the Frontera sticks are in line. I would do as I have done and just flip it upside down. My main issue was the sticks are offset hence using the old one on the 4wd selector, and having to cut and shut the Frontera one I was donated.

I think also flipping it inside out will be a chore asit will be constantly working against the way it was moulded. That could make it stiffer and therefore not give the gears full movement.

Obviously without trying we will not know for certain ... Either way I am happy with the results and it is so much quieter in the cab now, what with that and adjusting the tappets, and replacing the worn idler pulley bearing.

I cannot imagine how quiet it will be once I have put all new under padding and carpets back in :shock:

thought i would see why the passenger side had no drive when in 4wd. bugger looks like the cv joint is buggered and has stripped the splines on the shaft

It passed its MOT yesterday with only a short list of advisory's

Lol no, from memory its just that the side repeaters are painted black, one of the tyres is warn on the inside (from where the steering idler was warn out) and the steering box was damp, but that's because I've just replaced it lol. Oh and they sound a crack in one of the handbrake cables...didn't notice that was totally siezed up tho lol

i sort of decided where to put some LED's :dance:

put a shovel in the boot and sum more ropes oh and snow chains but prob never get them out of the case like every time it snows

Replaced the radiator on the Landy what a pain in the :butt:

that is because it has an oil cooler integrated in it. It took me 2 hours to do the job compared to 30 minutes to do the same job on a fronty

Finished stripping the head right down on the 2.2. Damage so far, 2 bent inlet valves, 2 bent exhaust valves and 2 cracked inlet valve guides.

Drove mine in the snow to sort the daughter out! She needed a snow shovel at her office so she could get her car out!!!! :roll:

Cleaned out the mould that had formed on the rear seats and seat belts as she not been used for so long then fired her up and took her for a spin.
First time she has turned a wheel in about 6 weeks :shock:

I was considering selling her and keeping the Picasso but she changed my mind after a drive

Fitted my eBay special temp gauge with clock. And remounted my inclimeter
