starter burnt out so had to fit the spare one and then it started to rain,, but like a true fogerteer i carried on .then put all the wet tools away ...result :thumbup:

Nothing to the truck but stood around ripping the pee out of my mate while he does a turbo conversion on his tomcat :lol:

Only in between telling him what to do though :roll:

Panicked when I checked on MID and found out the car was not insured. Threw a hissy fit and then discovered I put the wrong reg in. :oops:

Started mine up and ran it for a bit. Still no driving for me yet

Started it, then turned it off :lol:

Had to rock it in first but she burst into life straight off

Ahhhhaa but did fit new wipers to the Picasso yesterday :lol:

i haven't done anything to the truck apart from sleep in the back for two nights (well i say that more like just lay there without sleeping :lol:

Folks, clean the bumpers inside! As well take care of the front mask. Mine starts with rust...

Several bolts of the lower plastic parts broke, others were different

The newer bumper has additional bolts at the bottom line - the replacement bumper is lacking these

well yesterday i drove it home after finding a post on a green lane and it went crunch :oops:

and picked up my spare c20 engine.
so yesterday i bent my nice stainless bullbars, wing, bumper, pull the tracking out. and dammaged my wife :crazy:

Just put my battery on charge again as need to move it to other side of thedrive later.

goin to wash it later because of my lads muddy bags and tents on roofrack along with 5 beer cans leaking out and after traveling down motorway the rear quarters and back panel look awful streaky like a zebra of ale

Changed the oil in Chrissy's truck now oil pressure back to normal. Will have to do the rear crankcase oil seal at some point. Maybe in the SUMMER!!!!!!! :mrgreen:

just got all the muddy tents and acessories of the roofrack on to the pavement to jet them and it started to rain so carried on and then do the pavement and then washed me fronty and iam wet and dirty now in this rain ,

Well, it's not technically me, but it's my truck.....

Yesterday I stood and watched for a few minutes as Neal RatCav made Sophie the latest in a line of trucks he'd removed the EGR system from. I think with her, he made it 3 trucks in under half an hour, although he was a bit perplexed at the end of mine.
Asked what he'd lost he replied that he couldn't find the vac pipe running to the flappy paddle bit in the exhaust, so I shoved my head underneath the car and spotted that said flappy paddle was already gone, all that was left was the spacer with a filled hole to show where the mechanism had been removed and the spacer refitted. Bonus.

didnt do a good job at cleaning it yesterday so washed it again today and much better,,u can see the scratches all over now :thumbup:

Did this to the fan and rad ... well the fan blade did this. Spent hours looking for a replacement but nothing showed online apart from one that was £330 plus VAT and delivery :shock:

Tried to shoe-horn a Trooper 3.1 rad in to no avail. Gave up at 21:30 pm when it got dark and started raining.

Saturday 25th August 9:00 am

Woke up nice and early refreshed and confident and found a place in Norwich called Express Radiators ( http://www.expressradiators.co.uk/ ) that took one look at my rad and within 30 seconds another was placed upon it from a Vauxhall Brava 2.5 that was exactly the same apart from the side mounting flanges which were slightly bigger than the old one. £110 exchange for a brand new rad including VAT. Thats service and product knowledge for you. :thumbup:

Set off for the Woods weekender after dropping the new rad in 80mm lower to suit the body lift with the use of cable ties, drills, and new nuts and bolts. 3.1 4JG2 viscous fans are a direct swap by the way on the 2.8.

Sunday 26th August 11:30 am

Blanked off the vacuum hose port on the alternator, and ripped out the vacuum hoses, check valves, solenoids etc etc and replaced the intercooler to fuel pump hose on Random Ross's 2.8 LWB

I must add that Neal (Ratcav) did them all done in under half hour.

Loosened O/S headlamp then took a crowbar to the little plastic doohickeys that hold the headlamp in, then replaced and secured headlamp and adjusted aim so that I'm not dazzling passing airliners.
Then a quick jaunt to RS for some circlip pliers and did the N/S lower balljoint. RatCav's instructions elsewhere are pretty spot on, happily half a dozen good clouts with the FBH had that split and there was only one d'oh! moment while I was pondering just how much of the hub I needed to dismantle to get things to swing out.

Now, slightly greasy, am stood outside the MOT centre while she gets a retest done.
Extremities crossed.

....Time passes....

Now home and in posession of a pass certificate. Hurrah, etc...

Tried to separate the front bumper in its pieces - failed with the flat headed screws (German = Schloss-Schrauben) what are they called in English - lock screw, castle screw? :mrgreen:

Those bumper fixings are either called snapped screws or rounded screws in English Jeoh...because they never come undone!!!

I haven't done any work on the car but I did get a nice Parcel thought the post morning. :lol:
