WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR TRUCK TODAY!

Hi,took the fronty to the garage today,to find out what that horrible whining noise is/was,and it its the tensioner....needs a new one,so part ordered,take it back tomorrow morning and have it fitted.

Will stop all the people looking at me gone out.....Sounds like a turbine :roll:

New axle on and fitted at long last :dance:

I need the truck to tow the caravan down to Devon in a couple of weeks for our holiday but due to some pretty extreme laning antics the bodywork was knackered and the truck was looking a bit sorry for itself

Thankfully Dave has a mop , so I got some G3 and he got cracking ....

Mine fell apart, so I ripped it all out. Should of fixed it now in hindsight :roll:

Picked up the fronty from garage with new cam belt tensioner,no whining just engine noise!

Oh and bought a cover for the spare tyre

Nothing but told the mrs how to use the climate control :roll:

today i removed my old crappy speckers and replaced it with some edge ones
and i got the normal 4" ones for the front
but the back i got these

god they sound good

They'll need some fettling, no??
Don't doubt they sound good though, really must get round to pouring the Focal kit into Sophie.

well they were the same size as what i had in there, but still needed about 5mm taken off

and they sound alot better than the ones i had in there

Probably because the old ones are 14 years old and full of mud

Not mine, but fitted a rear axle to a 2.2 LWB .

Getting good at these axles now, lol

Well Si i just hapen to have my LSD axle i want puttin on mine from the trailer! HOW YA FIXED????? :mrgreen:

-45 mins to remove, 1.5 hrs to refit. If u can get it up here I'd more than happily do it for ya bud - even though you are more than capable of doing it much quicker than me

Woulda got some pointers on how it was done if I'd been able to see it

Took the rear diff pan off, gave it a damned good cleaning and repaired the 3 holes in it with chemical metal. (only a temp fix till i can get a new regulator for me welder)

Bit of a "meh" evening's fettling with Sophie tonight...

Finally had enough of the factory radio and it's Old Man syndrome, so whipped out the bullet connectors and Alpine head ready to swap that in instead. Suitably stunned on removing the factory radio though, to find a completely virgin wiring loom, first time even on a 2nd hand car :shock:

No botched jobs or taped up wires, I didn't have the heart to start playing silly buggers so I left it as is, I'll get a proper connector for it tomorrow.
Bit miffed that one of my speakers seems to have had it though. Hooked my collection of Focal 6.5" stuff out of the loft and tested them to find that one of them was not making any low-down noise. Suppose I can't complain too much given the age of em, but they'd have been great in the Fronty. No point putting brand new top of the line kit in a 2.8 :lol:

Wonder if it's fixable......
