Nothing special today ... but did use it to go and pay for Mrs RatCav's new-to-her car. Not a 4x4 and felt slightly dirty buying it. However it was a good opportunity, and should hopefully be reliable enough for her to get about seeing as she is going to be doing a lot of driving around the country with her new job.
2002 plate VW Passat saloon on a private plate. 62,000 miles on the clock with full VW service history. It has had a slight bash on the front corner, but has been repaired. Comes with the 2.0 litre 20 valve 130ps petrol engine c/w manual gearbox. Working air-con and the usual electric gadgets. Interior is immaculate in stylish black, but the body colour is a bit naff, but beggers cannot be choosers at the money:

Only a couple of things need doing. The boot lock solenoid doesn't work so a trip to the scrappy shall be in order, I need to fit a set of reversing sensors so she avoids the entire "blonde female reversing" issue, and VW apparently can fit the cruise control system for peanuts.
Does mean that once I have fixed a few issues with her old Astra we shall be Vauxhall-less for the first time in about 9 years

as that will be up for sale.
