Drove mine for the 1st time since the annual today...got me to work AND back, plus a few local lanes on the way back. Feels like I'm on the top deck of a double Decker bus lol but my god its good to have old girl back. Just hope the pinion seal on the new rear diff holds out

I just swapped the wheels off the v6 with mine in a thunderstorm and while driving back round the front the drivers wiper stopped! Just my luck. :roll:

Yesterday I got round to hovering it out, Today I got round to getting the tyres put on, just need to fund some mud now to test them.

Well I spent a few hours in the shed overhauling a steering knuckle and getting the inner roller bearings nice and seals sorted then it was onto cleaning up some nice condition tank straps I have acquired and painting them up, first coat.
Then it was onto the door card and modding wheel arch clips into door card clips,all went well.
And after that, I let Jess go mad on the shed walls with her marker pen :lol:

This was a bugger to get off, (the brake wear sensor bracket), 4lb lump hammer had to be used as the drill couldnt get close :shock:

But I won

And the start of the inner roller bearing overhaul

And a hanging tank strap :lol:

I 'fixed' the wiper linkage this morning only cost me a cable tie

love those fixes :dance:

I got the 'Bag 'o' Sh*te' another 12 month ticket today............only failed on one so called scabby rear brake pipe......nowt wrong with it...the usual trying to get some extra work, but hey it had to be changed....no fun in the pouring rain outdoors.
So i'm getting to the stage where that despite it being slow and thirsty, its the most reliable vehicle i've ever owned. :clap:

The only time i get underneath or under the bonnet is because i want to!

Drove it for the first time this week.
I miss driving it every day but using the vectra saves miles on the tractor.

Checked all fluids and air pressures ready for a trip to Plymouth tomorrow

had to jump start the fluffing thing only been stood since monday and found out when the feul gauge says empty and the light is on it runs in about 30 miles not good last one did 60 :wtf:

Not this week but last weekend. Checked the levels then drove to Plymouth and back having filled the interior with oldest daughters Uni clobber, made the arse droop a bit on the way back. But all in all a good trip at a steady 60 mph to conserve fuel and save my ear drums from the tyre noise.

Fitted a new Pair of Yoko Geolanders on the rear, will go for a pair on the front when i sort out the droplinks.

striped out the dash to check the electricall connections and replace the dash ilumination bulbs for blue only to find i have the wrong bulbs :oh yer:

not a good start on the plus side i ordered new trooper hd springs on thursday :thumbup:

hope to fit by the weekend
