i was made for tonka testing and i know it lol easy fix just need the bit but i think i have one in the shed if it ever stops raining :roll:

Bought me truck a new set of boots, 5 Hankook RT03's in 285/75R16 from Devon 4X4, cost me loads. Fitting them saturday 28th, just in time for the annual.

285's are the bomb, mine looked killer with them on, but decided againt it due to cost of replacing one was over £200 :problem:

but i now have 235/85's so not much different in high :dance:

but at half the price

today i went to a well known garage to me and we measured mine up for a new battrey. since we worked out that my current battrey was an orignal GM one from 1990 :crazy:

i have my eye on a truck battrey :axe:

did look at there 126Ah one but that wouldnt fit, but that was just under £100 :think:

Took a brand new Aprilla RSV4 out on a test ride(has launch control, wheelie control, traction control :twisted:

). Pi55ed down with rain so had to ride it like a girl :oops:

got new battery today 1000mca 115ah should turn the engine over

Put it totally back to standard and parked up in the workshop. Looks a sad old farmers truck now

Got my new springs off rob (rospicer) but every time I went out to look at it down came the rain!

Regarding me and welding, thanks for the words of encouragement. Just remembered my neighbour is a retired mechanic/body repair specialist. Hmm - an idea hatching. Wonder what he drinks?

On topic, enjoyed a nice sunny dry day which allowed me to complete the upgrade/repair and fit of a front wheel hubcap, fit a new tailpipe rubber support bungee (assisted by washing up liquid) and latterly fitted the second pair of roof spots to the roof bar. The roof bar wiring will be ongoing through the coming week then after that it will be the wiring in the car to accept the roof bar. Finally, flick the switches and it should brighten the road/lane ahead.

painted the new tank guard ready for fitting tomorrow, then trimmed the front valance coz the big boots rub on it

Started stripping the engine in the SWB today..

Spent a few minutes wondering how bits from the exploded piston, conrod and cylinder ended up in #1, #2 & #3 cylinders. :crazy:

Still, looks like new block, pistons, conrods full rebuild... Checked the head and there is also bent valves, not quite sure how that happened!
