Nothing as rain stopped play wanted to change my steering idler.

today i won another winch
so now have a rear winch :twisted:

I fitted a new shiney item on my Fronty.................brand new middle exhaust silencer and rear tail pipe. :lol:

got some urban articulation before i moved a trailer for a freind

before holding my fronty in my hand

Made up some new +2 inch front wing splash shields from 6mm closed cell foam. Should keep engine bay a bit cleaner.

Today.....i lost my temper and sense of humour with my truck....its a good job i love it...

Drilled out the failing screw catcher lugs of the hub caps and replaced with nut and bolt arrangements - really secure now.

Pressure hosed the wheelarches in readiness for the waxoyl treatment.

Have now discovered a corrosion bubble at the nearside sill - light pressure of the finger created a 1p size hole - guess where the cars going soon!

Front Discs pads & caliper, thats the whole braking system been renewed since start of year.

Beat it with a hammer.

Changed the steering idler.
A job that has taken all day due the crap weather we've had.

Looked at it....again, might start it later :lol:

Modified and fitted the roof bar/lights off my B' v6, bit of a fiddle and some pi55in about in the rain but WE HAVE LIGHT! :dance:

STRATA TOMMOROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbup:

Booked it into the menders to have the nearside sill repaired.
Bought some Jenolite(?) to deal with the odd rusty spot.

Stuck the roof box on ready for the weekend out with the caravan.

That's a kind offer Stu but yep, a bitty too far from where you are.
I have agreed a price with the garage - same as a year ago all going well.
I would have had to pay ferry fees, petrol etc., and racing against the clock for school - I'm over a barrel so to speak.

Get yourself a gasless mig welder, a small angle grinder and learn to weld Dave. Keep to the simple stuff (like sill patching) for now until you get better. You will save loads mate.

You can even get some night class'es in the local tech too.

me, weld, that's a laugh. If it could be done with solder and a soldering iron I would be OK.
Wish there was a tech for evening classes nearby.
You may have sown an idea though!

I will maybe try and look over the welders shoulder (with suitable specs etc) and see how its done.

On topic, preparing to assess the rear shocks - now that, I should be able to do.

You could pick it up easy Dave its not that hard once you have set up the machine. :thumbup:

i got to admit bobbys great at welding i know as he has done a few jobs on the trucks that i have needed done
