Drove it to Robs to pick up wideformats new spring that i will take to strata for him and put £100 of fuel in :shock:

so now ive got 3/4 of a tank of fuel!! :shock:

Im sure this tank came off a 7.5tonne truck!

well not today, but last night my boot wouldnt open after i locked it with some stuff in
so i removed the rear glass, and plastic boot card to get to the mech, and there wasnt anything wrong with it :roll:

so i just lubed it up and put it all back together, and now working ok.

Well took the truck out to Aintree to get bulbs, oil and oil filter for the picasso.
Got home sorted the bulbs but saving the service until tomorrow as had a few beers and watched the match.
But just popped out to the fronty as spotted some damp on the rubber in the footwell earlier, turned the rubber flooring back and it was full of mud and water, after extensive finger shoving and getting filthy I found the leak was from under the kick plate when going through deep water. I had sealed this a few years ago on all the doors but as the drivers side is pretty much all thats used the sealant had worn away, so drying it out and will reseal it in a few days :thumbup:

Would have stunk had I not had rubber floors :lol:

Well today I fitted a new uj on my prop, and finally fitted the hindges I got off boxcleva with help from Jim (Wilberforce) thanks Jim
Also refitted my spare wheel carrier and spare wheel.

Fitted the exhaust and did on oil and filter change

i took two wheel barrows of tools and engine spares out of the boot so my wife could fill it with garbage for the car boot tomorrow.

the positive is i just raised the backend about 6inches without spending a penny lol

Well today me and andytats changed my front wheel bearings. They were well mullered because when we took the off side ones apart half the inner bearing stayed on the spindle lol. More rust than grease and generally not a pretty site lol.

Also found out that I can get about 440 miles from a tank of diesel (85 litres)...haven't done the math yet but I'm going to hazard a guess its high 20's to low 30's (could do better as it has about 60kgs of tools in the boot plus sub and some of fudges recovery gear etc etc)

Dan, the tank only holds 80L :thumbup:

thats on an A not sure the B series may be smaller, or is it the B series sport that hold less?

B lwb has a 80l tank plus give or take 5litres in the pipe. And yes the b swb holds less, but can't remember how much less off hand

No way is there 5 litres in the pipes and filter Dan :wink:

Can't be far off? Remember the tank on a b is under the near side seats so the filler neck is fairly long

About 1.5 inch diameter and its about 25cm long from memory.

Edit: I've just looked at a pic and it looks longer than 25cm tbh. Will post the pic tomorrow

Yersterday:

Went to the "Truck Surgery".

Winced as we found only a few but awkward to repair age related body issues.

Set about the first stage of cleaning the affected areas and starting the rebuild process.
