well the replacement prop came today so old uj's out and new ones in. then fittedthe prop and changed the gearbox oil while i was on, then went to turn it over and click flat battery after having the hazards on for 7 hours yesterday but battery on charge then later on battery on and ready for work in the morning

glad to here the ruck up and running lol

just need to get your new nudge bar unbolted off this and sprayed black and your finished for the day

i jacked min up and changed the rubbers in my lpg filler pipes as i had to put some more gas in after my little adventure yesterday and was surround in a cloud of gas as the pipe had come loose as the rubber seal in the joint had perrished and when i filled it the pressure just blew it out lol

made the guy filling his up with petrol jump lol but all sorted now :dance:

Took delivery of new fuel line, new rear bumpers (thanks 2much), ordered ball joints to replace the ones horses45 lent me

and also got my new shiny manual hubs

nice one ian well i broke my new prop so a 4 inch lift and a 2.8 swb dont work so gonna have to take my new springs back off and put the old ones on ,so anyone inm desperate for a swb 2.8 prop if you have one and can post it if you cant post it im sorry but thats no use to me at all.

One thing I will say is that I wouldn't run around with any hubs on at all. If the circlip falls off your CV joint will float and then the needle bearings in the hub stub will wear out in short order. Also without a hub on the outer wheel bearing is exposed an you will find that it may well dry out quickly (especially if driving through water/puddles) as it doesn't have a seal on like the inner one has.

what do you gain fitting a set of b series hubs on an a series guys ?

It locks the wheel to the axel Foggy. Much like running around with manual hubs locked all the time. With the old A series 4WD lever operated system it will not only allow you to shift between 4WD and 2WD on the fly (up to around 30-40 mph), you can also be guaranteed that you avoid the snatch effect when driving forwards and driving backwards you get with autos as they lock and unlock between the two directions. Point of note. You can run in 2WD with the front hubs locked on an A series without wind-up. What you might get is extra wear on the CV joints and possible decrease in fuel economy as your now always turning the front drive train.

Had two new tyres fitted on the front so I've got good rubber all round again.

Drove mine to work today and it's running better than ever which is a bit of a worry, something must be about to break

took the denso plugs out and reverted to a nice shiney set of NGK R laser platinum jobbies and feels so much more responsive for it.

Removed a leaking radiator :-(

Drove like a dream, but had to thump the front flasher as its loose and went on strike, now sorted :lol:

on the 2.2 removed the exhaust and wrapped it in black plastic so it wont make a mass in jim's car for the FOG express. then changed the engine oil & filter on the 2.5.

not quite today but.....

removed front bumper, picked up my wheel arches from Bobbins (lucky he didnt charge me for storage (would have cleaned me out!) cheers Ian
