been to look at the new frontera

Hi All,
been to have a look at the new car today and take it for a test drive,
Its a 2.2 tdi y reg 2001, drives lovely and in good condition. The only thing is the eml flicks on for a bit when in traffic, any ideas what this could be ???
Also its got a bracket on the back for a towbar but theres no towbar there, any ideas how much for one or has anyone got one for sale.

Is the tow ball one of the swan neck plug in removable types? or a simple bolt on jobby. Either way ebay is your friend unless some one is breaking one on here.

not sure if im being honest, only had a quick look i was concerntrating on the other parts of the car mainly. it had two identical pieces of metal coming out from under the bumper about 2 inches apart but thats all i can remember lol.

sounds like a bolt in neck mate, its a piece of 40mm solid box with 2 12mm corosponding holes in it.

allvox mite have one, or a scrapper near you, or a new one, you could try pct automotive, i used to design,make n fit them when i worked there. :thumbup:

Looks like im going to let this one go. He has decided to virtually double the cash that he wants on top of my car lol

Looking at another one.. Its a W reg but the airbag light is on and the speedo isnt working. It has done 150000 miles and its a 2.2dti, it seems a bit high but opinions would be appreciated.

the budget depends at the moment really, ive got a 2ltr swb niagra sport. so i would prefer to p/x , i would like a 2.2tdi series b but it depends on the price really

150K on the clock and the speedo isn't working :shock:

chances are good the mileage is quite a bit higher, as the odo doesn't work without the speedo

Try get the V5C ref number and the reg number and do a check on the VOSA website to check the last 5 years of MOT and what the mileage was each year :wink:

id hang on a couple of mnths if i was you mate as prices are startin to come down again.

im the opposite mate, i got the bus n im moving into a sport :lol:

hi Tom, im not dead set on one but i need a lwb and preferably a diesel. i like the series 2, but it depends on funds.
