whats yours ?

Just sitting here thinking about the frontera

is you frontera the only car you use for driving to work, social, off roading etc or do you have a second car ?

im thinking frontera for the weekend and odd snow/flood days and then get a cheap run around ? i used to have an astra vxr but sold it when i got the lattest frontera as i was planning to use the frontera every day of the week but im thinking if i do the mods im thinking off it wont be to comfortable as a daily driver ?

Ive got 2 frontys n 2 vectra 2.2 sri's mate, an 06' sri 2.2i direct that our lass uses n 01' sri 2.2 150 that i use daily, nippy, cheap, plenty of room, half leather, what more do you want? cant be arsed spending loads on cars, i just get trade ins at my mates garage if its summat i fancy n his mechanic says there good i have em, run em a year n normally sell em for abit more :thumbup:

Mine is the only vehicle I own, but...I have a company car too (03 plate Ford Ka), so my Frontera is only used on my days off, and for playing in. Although until I changed jobs, got my company car I was using it daily, commuting 26 miles each way.

Fronty if i go with the family or have to carry big things, yamaha xj600 for the rest of the time.

Its now 1 of 3 cars I have, Mrs runs a Corrolla Tsport and the other daily driver I use is a Passat 4 motion estate.

The fronty is used as a moblie Dog Kennel and shooting bus & for off road fun. :mrgreen:

Mine is the only motor for everyday use and doing takeaway deliveries every Saturday night. :lol:

Daily driver is my 2.8lwb Frontera, second choice is Sals 2.8 shorty...but if I wanna save jank we have a 1.3 Ka...and I am rebuilding a Mk2 Nova diesel van that will be cheapy workshop hack (slammed on 17's of course!), with the Ka then becoming Sals beater/ courtesy car for paintjobs that I am doing...

But I have a works van too, but no private useage on that though...but gets me to work, in limp mode half the time :twisted:

well my normal run around is my little black 1.4 golf then i now have the 2.8 black fronty as the play toy bad weather drive

I had a Fronty A (95) 2.4 petrol for a couple of years+ and that thing was bullet proof. Never missed a beat. At the time was my only car, then the B came along as a project ( blown engine ) so that was a 3-4 month project that then eventually replaced the A as the daily runner. I was going to keep the A, but for the use it was getting and needed Tax & Insurance I sold it 3-4 months ago.

Now the B is the Primary car doing daily trips, weekends and laning instead.

Had my 2.8 LWB for 5 years :shock:

Thats a record for me, bought it as a daily drive and something big to transport building materials while the house was renovated/extended, didn't plan on keeping it long term :lol:

Shortly after buying it I was introduced to the joys of off roading and not looked back, kept it as a daily drive for a few years but its now a bit too modified to use as a daily drive and 3 years ago bought a Pug 306 Diesel as my smoker, this gave way to the Freelander last year. Freelander is now on eBay while the latest motor to join the gang is a P38 Range Rover diesel :oops:

My 2.2 B series is my only vehicle at present...regular weekly trips Manchester to Rhyl and back and seven trips to Malaga Spain in it over the 3 years of ownership and 35000 miles, and all on MUD tyres..Malatesta Kobra's. Well pleased with them and truck. Cant afford to put the zzr back on the road at present!

I couldn't use my fronty every day now even if I wanted to as it seems to have a drink problem. Besides being a motorcycle instructor and following a young lad on a scooter right up his arse might scare the sh!te out of him :twisted:

Trooper 2.8 for daily driving, off-roading, and commuting to work (25,000 miles a year)

I also use the wifes Mk.IV Astra 1.4 when funds are low and I want to save a few pennies.

I am also going to finish my 1987 300ZX restoration this year for weekend fun :twisted:

My Fronty is my daily drive to and from work and also gets used down the lanes occasionally. But my other half has an old type mini - which I get use if the Fronty has to be repaired or something.

Personally I don't see the sense in having lots of vehicles to tax and MOT, unless you have lots of money that is. I would rather spend any extra money on a decent holiday and just being out there. :wink:

If you get a decent Fronty they can be used for your daily drive no problem.

ATB
