Is it normal ????Hi guys just want to know is it normal for the back end of a 3.2 V6 to kick out on the back end alot ? Im asking as mine seems to be more of a drift truck than anything else hahahah. Ive tryed the same bends etc at low speeds and its the same. Is it a noraml thing or im i driving it wrong..... never had a rwd before. I will have to try leaving it in the highest gear i can

Re: Is it normal ????i would think at normal driving speeds all frontys should handle pretty much the same so i would say no its not normal, my old 2.2 lwb handles & corners well considering its an old bus

Re: Is it normal ????May have to look at the back end on sunday then. I just thought i was driving it wrong. I set off to work around 5 am and nowadays its always cold and abit of frost and i thought that was the problem but when i come home about 5 pm and the ground is dry it still kicks the back end out

Re: Is it normal ????Check your shockers and tyre pressures, they are the usual cause

Re: Is it normal ????could be your tyres i had it on my 2.4 changed tyres to different brand and tread pattern
it stuck to road like chit off a shovel
Re: Is it normal ????mis matched tyres on the back can also cause this. I test drove another Fronty before I bought mine and the ar$e end was all over the shop and that had one AT and one road tyre on the back
Re: Is it normal ????thanks guys will have a look at the tyers tomorrow and let you know

Re: Is it normal ????i think its just you cav, i think you have developed what all us v6 drivers get, a lead foot, but if its that heavy yet, check previous posts

My Drift truck problem againRight guys this is a follow on from my last post here >>>>> viewtopic.php?f=32&t=40496&p=436326#p436326
Ive checked the shockers, tyres and tyre pressures and all is fine. Now ive just been looking at the Vauxhalls Frontera owners manual and on page 101 on the right of the right hand page it says " DRIVE RANGES, four wheel drive- high range (4H) For greatest traction on WET, ice or snow covered roads " and this has got me thinking as when the "TANK" has its drifting problem its always wet so should i have it in 4x4 high in the wet or will i kill it ? Re: My Drift truck problem againyou will kill it, as the modern tyre will grip just as good in the wet as the dry,

Re: My Drift truck problem againThanks for the replys guys.
The tyres i have are good year wrangler hp 245/70/r16 Rolling in my TANK
Re: My Drift truck problem againsome tyres must rotate in a certin direction there should be a marker on them to show which way they should be run. i had a set fitted on a opel manta once and it started to drift the back end out in the wet so i thought wow these new tyres are cr#p but when i had a look at them they had been fitted back to front. [ left tyre was on the right hand side and vice versa ] so they where rotating the wrong way it was like driving on slicks.
my 3.1 fly's by the 3.0's like there ther sitting still. coz the most of them are.
Re: Is it normal ????im on goodyear wranlgers 255/65/16 and they grip very well in the wet,i have to try to make the back end step out, wranglers are also none directional tyres so they cant be on the wrong way

Re: Is it normal ????i would think that you would have to give a std fronty a fair amount of stick to get the back end out in dry conditions, mine with 31 tyres & a 2" lift in the wet is still quite sure footed, in fact ive never had the back step out yet but that might be to my advanced years now , my old 2.3 cortina spent most of its time sideways on corners & roundabouts etc so its not like im a drifting virgin
