Frontera B Service Manual help please

Hello all
I do not own a Vauxhall Frontera
There is an old gentleman who lives down the road from me, who has been trying to get hold of a manual for a Vauxhall Frontera B on 99 plate
Himself and his wife are not very computer literate, just a small amount of web browsing.
he came to see me today with 4 DVDs which he had purchased online, not realising they was all the same.but from different companies they all contain a program called TIS 2000. I managed to install it on his computer for him but neither one of us got very far with it. All he wants is a PDF Haynes style he would much prefer the hard copy of a Haynes manual but unfortunately they only go up to the year 1998
And he needs the 99 so any help would be much appreciated thank you kind regards paul

You don't say exactly what problem you had trying to install the software.

Si i should imagine the problem is the software is Poo. Or it is in my opinion anyway.

I have TIS and it gives a basic of how to do but nothing like a haynes. There is no Haynes for that model of Fronty.

There is another piece of S/W out there that some of the guys here have acces to but cant remember what its called now.

Is the manual required for a specific job or just general use. Also what b series is it?

psi can you not get the owner to join the forum & post the problem ? or can you post it on his behalf ?

my neighbour is proper old school and will not use a computer.his wife does the web surfing and she is almost as bad as him, but at least she tries
I did manage to get the software installed for him. with them not very confident on the computers they soon got lost with the software
I managed to download a manual for that model, but it was in Polish your Russian .
He needed a manual for three reasons really some kids recently smashed his rear window
He says he has a fault with cooling system. he needs to know where the sender units are.
and a fault with the fuel heating system
he is the type of bloke what would sit there of an evening and read the manual cover to cover, and then quote to you the part numbers if you know what I mean,
But they really are a lovely old couple and I would like to help him out if I can

ok paul 1st of all id suggest trying to install the software disc again because youve obviously got it up & running but probably chosen the wrong language selection, weve all been there

but if you cant get anywhere with that you could always go in to more details re the faults your neighbour has :wink:

the guys on here will try their best to get it sorted.
knowing which model would be a big help for a start

is he looking for a 2nd hand rear glass to replace the smashed 1 ?

Hi guys a few of you asked for the exact model

model Vauxhall Frontera Limited DTI Estate
cylinder capacity 2171 cc
fuel type heavy oil
date of first registration 1999

One of the main problems he is having at the moment is, the fuel heating system,
apparently he tells me that there is no glow plugs it is done by a different method now,
the glow plug light on the dashboard no longer lights up, last week that cold morning we had it almost never started.
He came to see me again yesterday with a new disc this time. It was the EPC 3 but it is not compatible with Windows 7
any help would be truly appreciated and I will pass it on to Steve thank you very much kind regards Paul
