website about fords in uk

Hi everyone.
ive found this website http://www.wetroads.co.uk/index.htm .. it lists all the fords in the uk,

From the title I thought it was going to be about the Ford cars.

lol. wrong type of fords. i never thought of that when i put it as the title lol :lol:

thought it might come in usefull if anyone ever gets bored they can go and play in the water lol ;-)

ive been using that site for a few years!

ive found some really good lanes through that site aswell.

usually if im planning a laning trip, like the peak district one in november, i will look on wet roads and see if theres any nice fords in the area, and then include them in the days laning!

Thats what i was looking at it for as well, i was told about a site in aston cantlow and i was told there was a ford nearby, so thought i might have a bit of fun on the way

Aston Cantlow, FOG had one of its first major weekend meets there a few years ago and we did a good load of fords that weekend

Just a note on Aston cantlow chaps

it has been shut for over a year now,as the farmer was taken ill,i was trying to book it this year,

But there is some good lanes round there, and one good ford witch i love (Great Alne) http://www.wetroads.co.uk/warwickshire.htm :lol:

BUT DO NOT CROSS IT, WHEN IT HAS BEEN RAINING,AND DONT GO ALONE :naught:

There is some good fords,i have done a fair few ,and got wet :lol:

Thanks for letting me know, i was going to go down soon because i couldnt find any contact info. thats saved me a wasted journey lol

. Do you know if anyones planning to reopen it anytime soon, ive seen a few pics and videos and it looked like a good place to go.

Far as i am know,it dose get open,once in a blue moon,farmers son dose it,but i do a lot of lanes,and fords,of wet roads website round there on a Sunday,like White lades Aston Peopleton Coughton and Great Alne,

where does it show the lanes on that website, ive had a look but couldnt see anything

My favorite ford that, i found of wet roads :lol:

One day i went though this ford when we had some rain, i will not do that again,got half way through, and the back end started to floated

i had to sink the truck to get traction,had water up to my seats,but got out safe :lol:

ill be honest i thought this thread was about fords cars duh lol :butt:

Yes Dazz,it did go off topic a bit,but i did bring it back on topic,with pic of the ford,off Wet Roads,and the safety of doing fording :wink:

never done fording looks cool done some small rivers and a tiny ford but nothing like that
