i think its time to say goodbye to the frontera

i got my car in november all i have done is spend money on it. fit one thing then somethink else go's wrong

i know that feeling very well, but when you think about it, the person before you just drove it, you are now driving it, if you know what i mean, plus you are geting it to your standard of a car,

it feels like i have spent more than what the car is worth, and then another thing pops up, if you are in no rush to get it fixed, step away for a day or two, dont look at it, dont touch it,

and i know at the end of the day, it keeps taking money you have not got, but the rewards are great.

i know how you feel i felt like that when the tonka was constantly going wrong but i dont know about help down your area but i had a good hand off some members up in the midlands and even had one friend drive from cheshire to matlock 3 weekends in a row to help (frontycustoms)and help from stone (alchamist).if that had not of happened i would not be on this forum now.but with luck you can get your truck sorted and hopefully not have as many problems with it.

Sorry to hear this fella...not good news...

Best bet is if the car is driveable is to get out and have some fun with it, this should remind you of what its all about and make the hassles worthwhile or bearable at least...

If your car isnt driving, drop badboy a pm and see if he can bring you down to the workday at the woods, down here next weekend, for some fronty focused activitys that should get you hooked again...
will be nice to meet you if you can make it down...

There are 2 cars you can own.
A brand new one which you loose money on every mile you drive it or an old one which cost you money every mile you drive it.
My logic on owning an old car is that if I dent or scratch it, then it's a cheaper accident than if I owned a new car, and I don't have to get a main dealer to do repair and servicing work on it. Plus would you really want to go laning in a brand new car? :lol:

Like Greg says, why not come down to one of the meets, or join us on the next laning day if you can. PM me if you want a lift. Either that or if you car is still running, why not join me on a reccy of the lanes around Epping & Dunmow next weekend.

You got to remember these are old girls still trying to be young when we drive them, so there bound to go wrong. They will allways need TLC as they are old like me and i need lots of TLC!!!! :wink:

Old girl ... mine has a good 10 years on some of your Fronty's and she still keeps going. Ok she needs money on her now and then, but she always makes me smile when I am behind the wheel.

i have been checking breathers every 2 week's they are still clear

the only leak i have now is the rocker cover again i have replaced the gasket with added silicone sealant twice now. i may just get a new cover and try again.

every now and then i get the same feeling, i have a classic vw which has had no time spent on it, my car for work and my wife's car plus the fronty to pay for - when i got the initial insurance quote on the truck i did wonder if its worth it!

with the topless frog now sitting outside my house, it makes me smile every time i open the blinds in the morning (sad?) and wifey made some sense when she said "sod the money if if makes you happy then keep it" when i think that some of my biggest laffs have been with you guys in various frontys, i guarantee there is nowt better to spend your money on - drugs, women and beer dont work as well as i get older and as i havent got any life insurance the fronty is best bet to keep me bringing the money in to fund the wife's spending...
