On my way home last night, a bus drove into the back of my fronty.

The tailgate is bent, not sure if the spare wheel is damaged the cover is broken. what would be the best route to follow? :oh yer:

Had a truck go into the back of mine when it was parked. It was only at slow speed but he didn't notice it was there until someone flagged him. ... got away with a bent spare wheel frame.

What company was it?

I've said it before and ...... go and see a lawyer. He'll tell you to send a letter to your insurer informing them of what has happened and to mark it " for file reference only". That way your "No claims" is safe.
You then visit the bus company and ask them if they would like to compensate you directly or have you make a claim.
Warning:- Direct settlement is quicker but if you later find some damage that you didn't know about when you settled then your stuffed. It's best for write offs as you get the money and can keep the car and sell the parts and get enough to buy a better motor than you had. We went from an old 608 Merc to a recent Iveco 7.5 Magirus Deutz truck with tail lift and had money left over for MORE BASS BINS.....WHOOMPA WHOOMPA

So far it only looks like the door and wheel cover. will try and get the inside cover off tomorow to try get the window open. I will go and have a word with Cardiff bus company and see what they say.

Take pictures, best thing (I didnt tell you this) go to your own insurance BUT dont let them write the car off, believe me they will try to scrap it, insist on the repair, your right to get it repaired............Ive said enough :lol:

Not saying his name but I knew a bloke in London around 1973-75 who would take your car with a bent front wing and it would take him about 3 hours in central London to " have an accident" with a London bus so that they had to pay. He knew the blind spot and which junctions.
Not a lot he could've done with a "from the rear" but.
