out of fuel

Ran out of fuel put about 11 quids worth in still won't start

Probably sucked crud into the fuel pump pick up pipe filter & blocked it :wink:

Try disconnecting the fuel line under the bonnet & blowing down it,if it is the problem & you are lucky it may well clear it :wink:

take the fuel pipe off the back of the fuelfilter under the chassis
and blow back down pipe to the tank then put pipe back and try again

hopefully it will clear any crud from microfilter in tank

i had the same problem with mine when i ran out of petrol the way i got it running was to remove the fuel pipe from the injector rail and crank the engine until petrol began spitting out reconnected the pipe and away it went it was like it had air locked

i depressed the valve on the fuel rail, and nothing came out, no pressure at all,

this is how he went home

where about is the fuel pump on 2.0i petrol

have you taken the pipe of and blown down it

I couldn't blow through

I just know that it's going to be a cheap repair.
I'm betting on it having picked up muck off the bottom of the tank. be that micro filter thing in the tank.
gives you a reason to drop the tank and give that guard a good cleaning and a lick of paint.

always sad sight to see a Fronty on recovery but at least we know that yours will be back soon.
