My first competative event

Well, I've gone and done it - I've made contact with Shropshire Off Road Club and put my name down to enter a Road Taxed Vehicle Trial.

Similar to what we attempted at Bala, the courses will most likely be set up as a little more challenging.

Date: Sunday 26th July
Venue: Hawkstone (map)

For some strange reason that I am yet to understand, JueOmega has volunteered to be my co-driver for the day (or should that be ballast) - at least we'll be sure to have a laugh or two along the way.

...remember 2wd is really handy to bring the back of your fronty round to make tight gates..something the landy boys canna do!!

Thanks for all the good wishes.

I bought the Sport with the intention of competing. Having navigated a number of years, I am aware of what can go wrong, so have run the Sport on the road (and off) to iron out any problems that might appear - it is now more reliable than when I bought it.

The event is supposedly at the easy end of the scale, but I will get to see how the Sport and I cope in the heat of battle.

I don't intend to break it, but I do intend to have a good time.

2 weeks to go :shock:
