After all the hassles i've had with the 2.5 lately, It has proved itself.

I went from wolves to kent to collect my son later friday and seeing it had just flown through it's MOT, all was going well until I got to Dartford, 6 broken/bent/striped wheel studs on the N/S rear and 1 free roaming 15" alloy. recovery by the RAC back to wolves.

Arranged to take him back home yesterday and get a phonecall, "Can I go to Aldershot to collect a car with my A-frame." so yesterday off we go to Aldershot. Hitch up the car on the A-frame and off to Kent, Drop my son off and the make my way to coventry to deliver the car. delivered that and back home.

£60 of Diesel and not a murmer over the 380 miles, and it didn't even feel like the other car was there. My R/Rover was a nightmare for snaking.

I forgot a small detour, it works out to be 410 miles, not 380, which is even better

Total £60
Fuel Price avg £1.04
60/1.04=57.7 lts or 12 gallons

410 / 12 = 34.1mpg towing 60 % of the distance

i didn't notice the 2.8 swb on my trailer until i went round the bend and clocked it my mirror, oh sh-- its going over, but it did not, for got the trailer is a bit naughty with a heavy car on it :lol:
