Re: Definately Selling NowI can't get a quote lower than £600 third party. I thought i had one from Noel Dazely but it turned out to be only for 6 months.
I just can't justify the cost. It's just been sitting on my drive since i bought it in May!

Re: Definately Selling NowOnly came out of a company car scheme last december so 0 no claims bonus + no points on license but did have 5 years ago and 3 accidents!!
Not surprising that its expensive but didnt realise just how much it would be. I wrongly assumed that becuase the value of the vehicle is so low so would the insurance, obviousely i was wrong.
Re: Definately Selling Nowhave you tried adrian flux..?? always good for me.
£600 seemd a bit OTT... 2.8 SWB, TDI POWER.....
Re: Definately Selling NowI have tried absolutley everybody. I have done little else foe the past month apart from try to find insurance. It is to expensive for what is supposed to be a 'cheap' 3rd vehicle! It is for sale. It goes on ebay over the weekend.

Re: Definately Selling NowI have tried every insurance company, brokers, comparison sites etc etc.
Re: Definately Selling Nowalso you could put the car in the wife's name and make sure you are covered to drive the car on your insurance, just means you have got to carry your insurance with you every time you drive it, the only down forth to that is when it is parked on the road anywhere in the UK, it will get towed as it will show no insurance on it

Re: Definately Selling NowI have also tried that! lol
Unfortunately she is about as un-insurable as me! The only thing I haven't ried is giving the vehicle to my mum(who lives in Derbyshire!) and having me as a named driver but i'm not sure of the legality of this.

Re: Definately Selling NowWhilst the above is true, having yourself as a main driver and adding your Mum onto the policy as a named driver will reduce your premiums. This is perfectly acceptable and legal

Re: Definately Selling Nowperfectprincess xxxx just one of the girls
Re: Definately Selling NowIt's all down to the zero ncb really, £600 I don't think is that bad, considering I know people with 3yrs ncb who are paying £1000+ on corsa 1.2's!
Admiral multicar is supposed to be quite good, and should be right up your street as it were since you're saying it's a 3rd car.
