Pinion preload

Postby Bill frontera a on Fri Jul 04, 2025 6:48 pm

Hi all I'm not sure if anyone ever uses this anymore but I'll give it a go. I've fitted a new pinion oil seal now I'm stuck. Does anyone know what the pre load should be? I've been told it shoud be 10-20 inch pounds, or 1-2.2 newton meters. I don't want to tighten it too much and damage the crush sleeve.
Can someone help?

I still use it, but I'm sorry. I can't help with your query. Glad I'm not the only life on here.
