Re: Coming back from the dark sideEML - engine management light being on. Could be a simple fix could be a monumental pain in the ar$e.
History is desirable and if it has documented proof of a fuel pump replacement in its recent lifetime then that is a massive bonus. Make sure the 4x4 engages and disengages via the dash button Take it for a run and check for abnormal warmth on all four alloys Check that all dials work without having sidelights on Check expansion bottle for gunge The rest of it is pretty basic stuff really. Rust , how it drives etc etc
Re: Coming back from the dark sideAlso check the rear cross member for rust (behind the bumper) not an expensive fix, welding to patch it but a money saver at bargaining time

Re: Coming back from the dark sideFuel pump will be the biggest thing to look out for. They seem to like dieing about the 100k to 130k mark. Sometimes even sooner. It'll cost you about 400 ish for a recon pump plus labour, assuming its got the x22dth engine. If its got the y22dth engine it'll right the truck off with the pump alone costing over a grand
