presentation on Off roading !

Hey all

strange one, but ive got to do a 5 - 10 min presentation on off roading as part of my college thingy ( key skills communication assessment)

what sort of things could i talk about ? as im not THAT knowledgeable really, just know i love it !

Talk about the technical side of driving. Using engine breaking etc. The commaradary

id also mention the safety side & if its touching on green laning etc the legality of it :wink:

Talk about how it allows you to challenge yourself as well driving on the different terrains like at avalanche as you go up against the lads there and can do better than some of them and the social side as Ian has said how its not only the driving but the getting together of like minded people

Opportunity for a big push on responsible driving on gren lanes to protect damage to the enviroment ... staying on the lane, obeying restricted lanes, driving slowly etc etc

awsome ! Thanks Ste, will certainly give me some bedtime reading, and i can baffle my assessor and my audience and they wont have have a clue ! plus the use of pretty pictures lol

might put an interesting thread up for my second presentation which is more of a debate , ive got to do the council bedroom tax :roll:

Mention that while some folk frown upon those of us in 4x4's, they are not slow at appreciating 4x4 Response volunteers who have honed their skills while travelling off-road.

Consider mentioning the utility services whose employees have to be able to access inhospitable terrain to maintain services, especially electricity boards.

Beyond "off roading" we have expeditions either group by organised projects or the growing number exploration/holiday ventures elsewhere in the world.

You could always talk about getting stuck Gem....
