You are the most inactive Fronty owners on this forum, only 2 or 3 posts this year, Is this because 2.3TD's are the most reliable Fronty's ever? or have they all gone to the happy hunting ground. If you currently have a 2.3TD on the road, Post here, Hope this post does not contravene Moderator regulations.

I've just picked one up but only cos it was a bargain, it won't be replacing the 2.5.

Possibly the biggest workhorse out of all the Frontera range.
No way near as quick as the 3.2 V6. Not as desirable as the 2.8. Not as common as the 2.0.
They are old, noisy, slow, and smokey. But to be honest they do exactly what you need. Get you from A to B without winging about it. I miss mine to be honest.

The one I've picked up is the Nautlis, it's a nice blue colour with cream leather, chrome bull bars n sidesteps and some fetching 5spoke alloys(with new AT Tyres ) and MOT til nov13. Also has a sub n amp in the boot, not much use to me, it just takes up Dog room! They guy sold it as it was really sluggish and had an oil leak, found damage on the sump so il sort that at work and after I'd repaired the induction pipe, as it was abit holey, it drove bang on.

They are all really sluggish ... you have to add 50% onto your average journey time anytime you want to go somewhere Funnily my old 2.3 had an oil leak. Two garages and myself could never find the source. That was a nautilus as well. The strange blue/green colour. Though mine ended up army sand colour in the end.

Mine's an OPEL LHD basic model ? Had it on the road 3 years now and done 11000kms in it to date, with 211,000kms on the clock, Needs a new heater matrix, new turbo, turbo hoses, oil temp thermostat, Love it !! Would like a 2.8 as well but they fetch 6000€ here.
