HHO generator, fuel from water

Its funny that the motor car was an idea dismissed many years ago as something that wouldnt be much interest to people.
Then LPG for instance, to this day there are people out there who say its a waste of time etc.
LPG has been out for many many years but only was accepted slightly about 25 years ago into road vehicles. They are still not 100% and most dont see any milage increase, if not the opposite from my experience.
The only good thing it had going for it was it WAS very cheap, now its not a great deal difference. You do however get slightly less emissions from it but it is still expensive to have a good kit fitted.

HHO in the near future might have a future by its self but unfortunatly it still today can't run without fossil fuels or Bio diesel. My VW Passat runs on BIO(veggy oil in summer) and HHO making it very friendly with the environment.

Proppetual motion, well nothing like it at the moment but nothing to say combining solar power with HHO wouldnt work at some point in the future. Saying that it would never work in the UK with all the sun we get LOL :oh yer:

There was a mention of electric vehicles in one post on a forum, I personnally cant see myself driving one but i'm sure if you have the money and want to falsly be environmentally friendly then great go get one.

Bad: Enormous price of £16,850. Emissions producing the power. Energy loss between power station(60 Miles), power storage and wheels. Cost of batteries.

LPG is viable if you do the mileage or have a huge engine, at just over half the cost of petrol and its again becoming a better option especially if you purchase a vehicle with a multi point system fitted, granted to get a couple of miles per gallon less when running on gas but again the offset in price is enough to deflect this.

A good friend of mine filters his own WVO down to one micron and Im not even going to mention how many times we have had his fuel system in bits for seal and heater and filter costs.

Free energy at this present time is a dream, all energy has to be produced even solar energy is not free as the equipment to harness it, transport it and even store it all has an environmental cost, cheaper energy is possible but it all costs something along the line.

Even running a dynamo light on your bicycle you expend energy to power the wheel that turns and food is consumed by you to get that energy and that food costs in the same way as the solar energy example I wrote about above.

Again, free energy is still a dream we are a long way from capturing.

It was a program on the manafacture of planes. NO!!! they didn't say it was gess work I did, they said they no how to do it from previous experiance they no a plane with a wing span of x and weight of y works, But there is no FACT this will work about them. The only FACT!!!! is a plane should not fly its to heavy and the wings are to small FACT!!

The reason i wrote this is because i hate people that just say naa that will never work with no acctual knowlage, the same sort of person said naa the motor car will never work no one will want one.....Wrong. We are running out of fossil fuels so some alternative energy source has to be found,

So i say good on people like gvs and krusher for trying, If it was left to the naa it will never work brigade, in the next 50-100 years everything will have run out and we will all be dead Keep up the good work guys

I never once said it wouldnt work, I did imply it was not viable though, totally different :wink:

i can see it working quite well with petrol engines simply due to the fact the fuel isnt used as a lubricant for the pump and because gas requires (usually) a spark of some sort to ignite just like petrol.

The diesel engine however relies on the extra oil in the fuel to lubricate the pump components and relise solely on compression to heat up the air and fuel mixture.

At least that how i understand it anyway.

Im all for a new kind of fuel that is more enviromently friendly, renewable and cost effective. However enviromently friendly and renewable do not go hand in hand with cost effective. Usually the systems are relatively expensive to have fitted and setup and will usually take a number of years to reep the benefit, then you have maintainance and repair costs which are usually high bills due to the components failing because they were not designed for the type of fuel. Everytime you change vehicle the system goes with it simply because it wont transfere to another vehicle. The vehicle when sold will probably fetch no more with the system fitted to one withought.

In the long run you will either a) at best break even, or b) worst off due to repair and maintanace bills.

My brother used to run his escort van on a 50/50 mix of diesel and veg oil. He said he got more mpg and slightly better performance. However he only kept it year as he brought a transit van so we dont know whether it ever did any damage or cause problems. He never did run his transit van on it though and i dont know why.

If I may revert back to my original post and the prototype I cobbled together just to test the theory, I did sort of let it go and not persue it
because of the feedback from some members sayiing that its probably not worth persueing. I am still interested in this subject and would like to
work on it abit longer before I dismiss it.....

Hi i fitted my frontera 2.5 tdi with a hho generator and my mph went from 15 mph to 23/25 mph and the power was twice the power it was without the generator fitted,
it was made from,
6mm stainless threaded bar,
30 stainless penny washers ,
with spring washers between for spacers,
two plastic insolators top and bottom,
a stainless steel plate bent round to make a tube,and fixed over the washers,
this was fitted in a water filter housing, and a header tank from a metro to keep it cool,
put header tank onthe bulk head and the hho generator in front the radiator,
it needs a relay and take an ignition + from the wiper motor ,
feed hho to inlet manifold through small pipe as close to the inlet manifold as pos .
the header tank has to have a hole drilled in the base to give three out lets two in the bottom for feed and returnand one in the top for a hho feed to the manifold the header tank is also a bubbler ,
if you want more hho use 60 penny washers and 10 ins long 6mm bar.
this system worked for me for three years with no problems at all, just flush out every 800 to 1000 miles.

For what it's worth the hydrogen fuel cell powered Honda FCX Clarity is already available in parts of America. Los Angeles has something like 16 Hydrogen fuelling stations and a conglomerate of most of the major car manufacturers and energy companies in Japan have plans for a system of fuelling stations to be in place ready for a full commercial roll-out of fuel cell powered cars sometime in 2015.

There has also been a considerable amount of research done into Hydrogen on demand systems, which you can read all about here... LINKY (note that this research is 4 years old too)

Remember, just cos we don't know all the ins and out of the science involved doesn't mean there aren't people cleverer than us out there who are very close to making it work

We laugh and giggle at the "one day man will....." like the prepack roast beef dinners tv commercials that followed the lunar landings! (Did man really get there or will a return visit wait until the expiration of the generations that saw the "first landings" ?) :roll:

A while back I was thinking about this, but decided that I wouldn't really feel 100% safe off-road. That said for an average family saloon there could be some benefit.

hiya lads,im into my hydrogen generators a bit,what ive found out is if you fit a hydrogen generator to a post 96 vehical you will never really see any benafit because the o2 sensors will detect more oxygen and tell injectors to give more fuel thus decreasing mpg,what u need is a maf-map fuel enhancer,they r ded cheap roughly £30, its true there are a lot of people out there just selling shyte,but hydrogen power has been with us for ages,just suppressed by the big oil companys who dominate the power scene,check tesla's reserch,we can harness all the power we want for free,but what kind of a corporation does free energy make? hmmmmm,zero dollaz! ever heard of a prenendev magnet motor? well i know its poss,because i have a friend who has one in his celler of his house,provides all lighting and other small appliances,but hes making a bigger one to run whole house,then one in his bedford rascal van! haha!

ive built a few devices and had one running a camping stove double ring,im building a 21 plate dry cell hho for bob soon,im aiming at circa 6-7 liter miniute max rate,incidently i read in this topic somewhere there was mention of the fact the unit (hho) needs power so it uses energy too etc,well the more plates (electrodes) you use the less volts u need,down to as low as 1.5volts is enough,hard to explain but id reccomend reading here... http://www.ivantic.net/Energija/User-Manual.pdf ,very interesting indeedy ;-)
