Fronter diesel

Seen a few very nice 2.2DTI's about, people are saying the just stop starting and they dont no why, I am assuming its the diesel pumps fail and they just dont want to say, scanned a few threads but cant find anything on changing these out or how difficult it is to resolve. Will have ago at anything but never tackled diesels before so though I ask you guys advise before spending out and getting in some hot water
