How to sell a private plate

Hi all
I have a privatre plate on my car that came on it when I bought it over 12 months ago....

Im currently thinking of selling the plate and wondered how easy it is and can anyone recommend the best process / company to use...

First you need to put it on retention mate, this costs about £120 this includes the £80 to put it onto another vehicle, make sure you factor that in when selling.Try it on ebay first mate, you only have to transfer the name when its sold. if you go through a broker they will take a cut, but you can get a rough valuation from them online with them without going any further. or you could try posting it on here and see if anyone fancies it!?

you could try advertising it as it is (just to judge interest) before putting it on retention, that way your not out of pocket. If someone wants it they will wait.
