2 advisories:

1) Rear number plate deteriorated, but not enough to not be recognised (keep meaning to replace it).

2) Rear bumper missing (fell apart when we took it off to have the respray )

They are advising everything on MOTS now...my mate had a "engine splash cover missing" advisary on his zafira as the under engine cover wasnt on, and also one for the engine being partially obscured by the factory to engine covers too, I am guessing as the tester couldnt see the engine to check for leaks.
They are gonna need spare pens when they next test my Yella Fronterror!!!

Sorry to hi-jack this
On my rear axle one of the dust cover's ( back of the brake disc) is missing are they part of the MOT now.
If so will I need a new one before I put in for the MOT.

I dont think missing stuff is a fail in all cases Andy, its something that they now note as an advisary.

I would be inclined to remove the other disc cover, stops getting stones caught when offroading...never had a problem with this failing on a car before, all my 90's had these removed when I fitted disco axles on them.

I got advisories on the Merc MOT for the engine protection covers that are on there as they obscured parts of the engine!! they need to make their minds up LOL

Funny thing is I didn't get an advisory for it being a "oily leaky 2.8 Isuzu engine"

Either way the ticket cost me £35, and she got praise for being in very good condition top to bottom.
