Re: Need New Vanit wants a service. pics are blurry. probly hiding damage. have you looked at transit?
Re: Need New VanIf the mileage is genuine, it's not a bad price when you consider its come from a Dealer.
Nice thing about the Peugeot / Citroen / Fiat Vans is they all share the same parts and don't rust any where near as quickly as the equivalent Ford's, although the Transit engines are pretty much bullet proof nowadays. If you have a local auction house, it might be worth taking a trip down and have a look. It seems that the majority of company's are outing their current fleet of vans due to the LEZ regulations and they are going for a pittance because company's can no longer use them in Central London. My local, Shoreham Vehicle Auctions, has had a dedicated Van sale at least once a week since Christmas and similar vans are selling for less than £2000 as no one wants them. The daft thing is if you've got an older Petrol Van (these don't seem to be effected by the LEZ ?) then these have actually gone up in value as smaller company's are buying them as way of cheaply replacing their newer non compliant vans. If you have a look on Shorehams web site there's quite a big write up on the trauma this has caused in the Second Hand Van market.

Re: Need New VanDont like the Transits, passed loads of them stuck in snow. Think they are rear wheel drive now, so when it snows im off the road

Re: Need New VanThey're mostly FWD now, as opposed to them traditionally being RWD... And that's lots of vans, not just Transits.
Next time you're in traffic behind one, drop back a little and you'll more'n likely see a straight beam axle holding up the back end, not a differential in sight. Simple, cheap, and keeps the vehicle weight down so the payload goes up. Jim...

Re: Need New VanAfter weeks of looking @ various Sheds, i decided to bit the bullet & head south to @ least have a look. Saw another ad about 15 mls from Cannock, so choice of 2 with less than 35K on the clock, the second was £1k more expensive. I went and seen the first van i had originally started the post with.......a FKn belter
Absolutely spotless, not a mark, no sign of paint & varified mileage............driving home im still looking for the catch everything the guy said was bang on. 1st honest dealer ive met. Then while im away all day i dropped the V6 into new garage(on a recommendation) the bhoy does my 4 o2 sensors (supplied), various other daft bits, & Spark plugs(supplied) for £35 ![]()
