Anyone know Vaux Green?I've been trying to order from Vauxhall Green since Friday but just keeping getting the answer phone. Is that normal? I need to pay over the phone so I can't just leave a message. Is there anywhere else I can get some shear bolts and maybe order online?
Re: Anyone know Vaux Green?Hi Can i just ask why you need sheer bolts Please???

Re: Anyone know Vaux Green?Yep, sure, cos when I bought the Essex Girl, the steering wheel was all 'clonky' and after a check we found one shear bolt (top pic, left hand bolt, was able to just pull it out) was loose, and the other 2 weren't what they should be -

Re: Anyone know Vaux Green?Just as I though...the only place I think they use sheer bolts are on the ignition/steering lock and maybe the steering column.
Sheer bolts can also be purchased from good engineering hardware stores too, they are not solely frontera specific. I would be inclined to fit vandal proof bolts instead...these need a special tool to remove, so your average car thief would still be stumped, but with the tool you could remove again should you need to... Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Re: Anyone know Vaux Green? We're a bit short on any engineering stores round here, but I'll do a google and prob get them from somewhere else then, I didnt know if they were specific lengths/thread etc.
Re: Anyone know Vaux Green?I thought so aswell. Just go to your nearest Halfrauds and they sell Allen bolts the correct length in metric fine just fit them and if they vibrate loose just give them a tweek. Dont bother with security bolts or sheer bolts as if a thief has got that far you aint got a truck. Ive done this to a number of cars and my three trucks. Just cost a few quid.

Re: Anyone know Vaux Green?hI FronteraGirl,
no need to worry about ringing up specialist people etc, all the relevant bolts that you need and their sizes and where you can get them are contained in this post -a loose steering column ATB My Fronty thinks its a grown-up Tonka Toy [how sad is that] ?
