ITS ALIVE!!! ALIVE!!!! I TELL YOU!!!

After buyin Tonka2 off Rob (HORSES45) as i couldnt see it go without givin it a chance of life and reading through his threads numerous times n scratching my head due to the fact it didnt want to start, which led our good friend Rob reaching breaking point n wanting rid of the truck, i can happily post that after a further couple of hours in my mates garage with his mechanic goin over n over wot could possibly be wrong, WE FOUND THE FAULT!!! :dance:

It was a duff fuel pump relay!! the only things we hadnt tried was changing relays round n as soon as we did that it burst into life!!

bit of a splutter n some smoke n away we went :thumbup:

a very happy Christmas now as ive managed to save another fronty! :party:

so now im guna sit down and enjoy an evening that i dont need to try figuring out how to perform a miracle..... :drink:

looking back on robs thread the relay was mentioned several times & he tried i think 4 different relays in it but they must all of been suspect

Holy cr@p, Rob is going to be p!ssed ! The fuel pump relay was tried and tested a few times Smiffy even said clean it up and tw@t it with something.

Good for you though bud. What you going to do with it?

Feel for Rob having gone through all the frustration and hair pulling not to get a result :thumbdown:

On the positive side there were alot of good pointers through Rob's original post which for me, participating in FOG, is what it's all about.
Remember a small independant garage owner telling me it's all about basics.
DIESEL - Compression and fuel and it will go
PETROL - Compression, fuel and spark and it will go.
Not so simply when your pulling your hair out - so I'm going to go on and ask is there a simple way of measuring the spark strength going to individual cylinder (without paying for a full diagnostics test)?
Compression tester for compression - easier on a petrol.
Fuel - I guess by cracking fuel lines in staged points (not undoing fully)

well done danny but to you all that said fuel pump relay i did change it 4 times and the ones i changed it for i tried in another fronty which the fule pump relays worked on that on so unless mine was just a pig

and didnt like what i fitted then explaine that to me ? and yes i did clean all the contacts and hit it but as bobby will confirm im not allowed to hit frontys hard as things fall off in my hand so i still cant get that making it work ? but another truck saved yahooooo.

the fuel pump relay dont just do the fuel pump

when i bought mine the leaflet that came with it said it controlled the injection system and is linked into the immobilizer system :drink:
