My dti has served me well in the year that Ive had it. Only things that have gone wrong with it are due to the things I drive it through....drive it into heverly silted up water and you have to expect oil seals to get buggered

But other that the oil seals failing it has never failed me yet!

But Id get a x22dth not the y22dth because of the fuel pump issue - X' engine costs about £200 - 300 to fix....Y' engine costs about £1300 - 1500 to fix...so renders the car as scrap really. I got my 1999 (T) dti with a dead fuel pump for £750 a year ago, spent £500 getting the pump compleatly rebuilt (New piston and sleeve and new PCB) for extra peice of mind.
Its not really a secret that the 2.2 petrol Bs have a few problems....and as far as I know the v6 is the most bomb proof engine you can get in a B....just dont go into water with it lol.
What ever you get, hope you enjoy it!
