Broke down today

Well the truck has been running really nice recently after getting the egr valve cleaned. Haven't taken it on a really long journey yet but my 20 mile round trip to work has been fine.

Still, running some errands today and the oil light flickered on for a second. Kept an eye on it and it stayed off but after parking up to get a sandwich it had left a nice puddle of the black stuff on the floor!

Dropped it into the garage fearing the worst and an expesive repair bill to be rang a couple of hours later to say it was fixed!!

Turned out to be the oil pressure sensor/switch under the turbo which had gone and was allowing oil to blow through. New one fitted and jobs a gud un (and not that expensive)! Am lucky to have a good garage nearby!

You sure about that fella ? The oil pressure switch is on the opposite side of the engine to the turbo

its an 03 so maybe it has the newer engine type boxy ?

EPC says they are the same bud which was why I was confuzzled :wink:

in that case :shock:

buggered if I know. They had it on the ramp and it pumped oil out of it. They replaced it and it's dry now. Might be me who has got it wrong though :oops:

Just pleased it's fixed again as can do without a big bill at the minute
