4x4 stick

Hi all I have just purchased a t reg 3.2 v6 limited petrol. This maybe the dumbest question ever but the gear stick to shift it into 4x4 only has high and 4l written on it all the others I have seen have 4l 4h 2l 2h on them and presume 4 is 4x4 and 2 is not, but with just these 2 written on it it has slightly confused me. Should it be in high for 2 wheel drive. Sorry if I sound thick its the 1st time I have had a 4x4.

Hi bud, yeah to engage 4x4 you hit the button on the dash (near the heated rear window switch) you can then engage (if required) low range using the stick. Normal driving the stick is in high (H) and in 2 wheel drive. Do not run the car on tarmac in 4wd. You can't get the stick into low in 2wd so don't worry about it.
