Re: insuranceThats par for the course with insurance companies on these compare sites.
When i was looking for insurance for the caravan, I got a quote and forgot to save it. Went back in to the same company, and there was a difference of £87.30. Regards, Keith.

Re: insurancejust before i renewed mine, i had a look on a few of the comparison sites..cheapest was around the 450 mark fully comp..most expensive was a touch over 2K..
strangely..i got a renewal quote from Sureterm for 260ish..which turned out to be with the same company that quoted 450 on the comparisson site..exactly the same policy restrictions/allowances and declared body lift.. guess which one I went with... Re: insuranceI watched something on the telly box a while back which was looking in to these compare sites, and it seems that the sites are owned and run by the insurance companies themselves. (or those taking part anyway)
Each one taking part has to pay a tarrif to be part of it and therefor the cost goes to the punter. This is why companies such as Direct line will not take part, and therefor can offer a cheaper quote. (in theory) This of course doesn't explain why the quotes are different each time you get one for the same vehicle etc, but the it does get lost when nnot saved (obviously), and it all starts again. It makes you wonder how the computer works it all out when it cant come up with the same quote each time. Regards, Keith.
