Depends on how much you want to sell it ?
Prices for 4x4's at this time seem to be at an all time low. Similar vehicles can be found on E-bay and Auto Trader for anything as low as £2500 right up to one guy on Auto Trader who's asking just shy of £6000
Trade price for your car, depending on overall condition would be about £1800. If using it as a PX you should get to £2000 to £2500 but valuations will depend on how much your spending on a new car. I.E. if you buying a £30K - £40k BMW / landrover you can expect the top price however if your only buying somthing thats a few grand more than the Fronty, they won't offer you top money for yours.
If selling privately you could try an asking price of £3500 as that seem's to be the most common start price for private sellers at the moment but you may take some time to get a sale. Realisticly, I'd expect on 04 plate to go for anywhere between £2600 & £3400 depending on it's overall condition. If paintworks good with no dents / scratches and the interiours nice & clean you may well get over £3000 as it will be worth it to the right buyer.
BUT beware, this time of year it's difficult to sell 4x4's, wait a few months until the weather turns and it looks like they'll be snow on the ground and you'll have no trouble shifting it.
Biggest issue is that the second hand car market is on it's knees at the minute, or it certainly seems to be the case down South, not that any dealer will admit that
There just seems to be a lack of anyone with spare / disposable income at the moment and as such people are hanging onto the their vehicles in the hope that things improve next year. As a result there are a lot more cars than there are buyer so people are being very choosy and when they do make offers, it seems to be for a good 30% less than the actual asking price
