Not a happy chappie!!!!!!

About a month+ ago my head gasket went, a week later got the job done with all the relevant trimings at a cost of £550, went back thinking the oil was thining at running temp (3/4 when cold, just under a 1/4 at warm running and just out of the red at warm idle) on a 20 mile round trip, so they changed the 10w-40 for the 20w-50 to see if that would help, ran it for a week still no good, so it went back in and where it has been since waiting on the mechanic to check the the oil relief valve in case it's sticking when warm, foned today to find out what's happening only to find out the the chief mechanic who was suppose to look at it is in hospital to get tests done for the next couple of days, so i'm screwed for another week and on top of that i'm covering a mates shift this week with no wheels. The thing is i don't want to risk driving it for now with the oil pressure problem incase it causes problems with the big ends with oil starvation. The funny thing is i had better oil pressure when the gasket was on it's way out.

Hi there i have had the same problem as you are after doing the h/g on 1of my 2.0l. Am going to replace the oil pump when i have time. may even replace the big and small end shells when it's in bits

none of my own as yet . but i like wat you lot are doin so gettin very tempted :). chrome bighorn D bar, body kit
2.0 1997 the gold1.
chrome bull bar to be fitted along with tinted upper and lower rear light clusters, 255x75x15 on 5spoke early A alloys
2.0 1997 green1.
wrap round bull bars, side steps, 31x10.5x15 on trooper alloys - Region: North East
