I'm trying to find an old posting and unfortuantly i cannot remember who submitted it basically is was a write up on how to correctly engage and disengage 4 wheel drive.

As per the bit of card in my Sunvisor -

How to Operate Automatic Locking Hubs:

Lock

1. Stop the Vehicle.
2. Shift Transfer lever to either 4H or 4L.
3. Move the Vehicle. It locks automatically.


Free

1. Stop the vehicle.
2. Shift Transfer lever to 2H.
3. Move the vehicle in opposite direction slowly at least one metre.



How to operate the Maunal Free wheel Hubs.

Lock

1. Stop the Vehicle.
2. Set hubs to lock position both left and right sides.
3. Shift Transfer lever to either 4H or 4L.


Free

1. Stop the Vehicle.
2. Set hubs to free position both left and right sides.
3. Shift Transfer lever to 2H

:D :D
No More Nails, Duct Tape and a big hammer. Who needs a tool kit?!

Modifications: I have currently modded it so much that is looks suspiciously like a Hilux 3.0l diesel with a 2 inch lift and BFG's hehehe ;) Oh ok, I lied. It IS a hilux. I will be getting another shorty soon tho.
