Top windscreen cleaning tip

Now that summer is upon us, it is also the season for baked on fly guts to adorn on finely polished windscreens, now Im not sure if anyone has used this, but I discovered that using some fine wire wool with some Windowlene (other glass cleaning products are available) removes the guts successfully with very little elbow grease involved, and works well at removing tar and other deposits. With glass being harder than metal there is no risk of the windscreen getting scored or scratched during this process. Just bear in mind, DON'T use it on your paint work!

I use mer windscreen polish, It goes on the same as the normal polish does, Then the bugs just rinse off

Used the Turtle Wax windscreen cleaner for the first time recently - at long last I have managed to find something that shifts a greasy film that has existed on the screeen for months.

As an aside, if you use one of those supermarket vinegar based window cleaner sprays, don't keep for longer than approx 6 months - used some last week on the inside of the glass and one of the ingredients must have "turned You have been warned!
