Well got a fantastic deal today!!

Have managed to acquire 2 series landys (a series 3 and a series 2a safari)!! Just have to go and pick them up. Neither runs but the safari doesn't look bad so I'm hoping to get that one going and use the series 3 as spares. Neither has the engine in (they are in his shed lol) so will try and guess at the best one.

Will get some pics up once I've collected them both (have to get some time off and sort a trailer).

The best bit is all it is going to cost me is the diesel to go and get them!!

He wants rid out of the yard!!

The chassis on the 2a doesn't look bad and that was the one he had started to do up. Like any project like that though if you don't get it finished they stall and never get done (have done that myself).

Body wise the safari is good and the bulkheads look ok. Need to check the extremities on the the chassis but even if I have to buy a chassis the fact the base cars were gratis kinda makes it worth it!!

In fairness I'm not doing it for making a fantastic car, just want a tax free classic to do a few miles a year! With classic insurance they start to look more tempting. Once I have it running they copious amounts of waxoil or similar will be coating everything.
