Is there any way of checking mot history of a vehicle with only the reg number? Have looked on the vosa sites and they all require more infomation.

I'm pretty sure the only way you can do it is using the VIN number.

The vosa site requires reg and test station number, of which I don't have the latter.

As VOSA govern the MOT's what they have on their site will be the minimum required to get the info you need

Are you looking to check on a vehicle before buying ? hope you don't mind me asking...this is an interesting idea being able to check... wonder why its not possible?

Thats what I was hoping to do, be nice to see if and what any advisories were issued for. Not really and issue I suppose, because any half decent seller should tell you the test station number off of the mot cert.
